Pricing Update

We review and improve our pricing every year at Framer. As more teams use Framer for increasingly complex sites and full-scale builds, we’re learning fast and evolving with them. Our goal is to make sure our plans work better for everyone. We also want to be open about how we think about pricing, so you know what’s changing and why.

Before we begin, let us make it clear that if you are happy with your current plan, you can keep it. If you prefer the new pricing, you can switch anytime. And if you relied on a plan that’s now gone, email us and we’ll take care of it.

Our goal is simple—make Framer free to try, affordable for personal and small sites, and priced fairly for companies that get the most value from it. A progressive system that scales with you.

Since our last update, we’ve already made several improvements: Drafts are now available on all plans, Form submissions are unlimited, Locales and File Upload limits are higher, and Design Pages let you use Framer as a full design tool for free until you publish.

We’ve simplified pricing to three simple plans (down from five). See the full breakdown on the pricing page:

  • Basic — $10: for personal, hobby, and side projects.

  • Pro — $30: for professionals, small teams, and startups.

  • Scale — $100: for growing companies that want flexible, usage-based pricing.

For larger organizations, our Enterprise plans offer custom contracts, fixed SLAs, advanced security, direct engineering support, and bulk pricing.

Now, here’s what we learned from the previous pricing:

  • Too complex. Five different plans across personal and business tiers was too much studying and upgrading. We simplified it to three: Basic, Pro, and Scale.

  • Mini too small, Basic too big. Most people needed more than one page (Mini) but less than everything in Basic. The new Basic plan is right in the middle at $10 (instead of $15) and ideal for small to medium personal, side, or hobby projects.

  • Predictable costs. Smaller plans work best with fixed prices; larger ones should scale with usage. Basic and Pro are fixed, while Scale grows with your success, with optional extras like A/B testing, Private Plugins, and Advanced Hosting (soon).

  • Better support. Every plan now includes 24h email support. Pro and Scale users get priority so we can help even faster.

  • Limits should feel fair. Plans need limits, but not hoops. Pro and Scale now include generous limits for editors and Locales, and Scale lets you expand further with add-ons.

  • No sales calls. Scale goes far without needing a custom contract, but if you want something tailored, our enterprise team is here to help you out.

  • No double billing. Verified experts and agencies now get free seats in client projects.

It’s impossible to make everyone happy with pricing, but we ran extensive analysis comparing real-world usage before and after, if they choose to switch to new pricing. On the fixed plans, 60% of customers will see prices drop by 30% or more, and on the higher end plans 40% of customers can save up to 20% (depending on usage). So for most it’s cheaper, for the rest it’s roughly the same. And if you’re an exception, just email us.

We hope you appreciate the improvements and transparency. We’re always open to feedback for the next iteration.

FAQ

Do I have to pay more?

No. If you’re already a subscriber, your price stays the same unless you switch to a new plan. Then you’ll pay the new plan rate and limits.

We also ran the numbers so we can be transparent about who might pay more if they choose to switch to new pricing:

  • We’ve increased the seat limit on Pro plans, but to do so, we had to remove the seat discount. If you are in the 25% of Pro plan users with two editors, new pricing will be more expensive.

  • We removed the Mini plan, mostly because we got so much feedback that a single page wasn't so useful. If you really needed just one page, you'll now have to get a Basic plan which is more expensive, but comes with much more.

  • We reduced the CMS Collections on the new cheaper Basic plan to a single one. If you are in the 10% of Basic plan users with two CMS collections you would now need a Pro plan.

  • If you’re using large amounts of bandwidth consistently, we’ll ask you to upgrade. This isn’t new, but the new plans and bandwidth overview make it clearer.

How come I see slightly different pricing?

Pricing is localized, so you’ll see amounts in your local currency with regional adjustments across the globe.

How does grandfathering work for x?

  • If you don’t change anything, your current price stays the same.

  • If you switch plans, your site, locales, and editors will move to new pricing.

  • Existing flex editors and locales keep their old pricing.

  • New flex editors or locales added later use the new pricing.

What if I used too much bandwidth?

Congrats, your site is doing well. If it’s a one-time surge or attack, no issue. If it’s consistent for two or more months, we’ll ask you to optimize or upgrade. We calculate usage based on the lower of your last two months.

Templates that are published to the Framer Marketplace get unlimited bandwidth and won’t be required to upgrade.

Why is bandwidth more expensive than my $5 VPS or free proxy?

Because quality costs. Cheap bandwidth often means shared servers and poor performance. Framer uses AWS CloudFront with Origin Shield enabled and 300+ global caches, ensuring top speed, SEO, and reliability for pro sites.

How do I know if I’m on a new plan or an old plan?

When you open your project, you’ll see your current plan next to the project title. If the plan name contains ’24, it means you’re on a legacy plan. To switch to a new plan, click the plan name to open the Plans page, where you can choose any of the new plans.

Why are the page limits lower on the new pricing?

In the previous pricing model, the page limits included both pages and CMS items combined. In the new plans, these are now separate limits. So CMS item pages don’t count against this page limit.

What if I was planning to buy a plan that’s now gone?

For 60 days, we’ll still honor old pricing for new sites. If you don’t have an active subscription, we can apply the old plan manually. Contact our support team to arrange it.
